Akal College of Nursing-
Established in 2008 by the esteemed 'KALGIDHAR TRUST,' Akal College of Nursing holds the distinction of being the first nursing college in Himachal Pradesh. Nestled in the serene surroundings of 'BARU SAHIB' in the foothills of the majestic Himalayas, it is located in the northern part of India, often referred to as the "Dev-Bhoomi" (Land of Gods and Goddesses). The college received accreditation from the President of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, under Resolution No. 138/02/August/2008, dated October 14, 2008, and is duly approved by the H.P. Registration Council.
Akal College of Nursing offers both a B. Sc. Nursing program and an M. Sc. Nursing program, which are recognized and affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh Nursing Registration Council (HPNRC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC).The Master's program offers specializations in Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetric & Gynaecological Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Community Health Nursing, with super specialties in Oncology, Critical Care, and Cardiothoracic Nursing.
The college's primary mission is to train and prepare professionally competent and dedicated nurses who are imbued with a spirit of service to humanity at large. These nurses are well-equipped to face various challenges while providing nursing care at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of healthcare.
