JEE Main-- the Joint Entrance Examination-Main. JEE Main is one of India's most prestigious engineering exams. It has been held four times a year since 2022. Thousands of people from all over India apply for this exam in order to have a chance to study at one of India's most prominent educational institutions. NTA administers this national entrance test for admission to engineering (B.E./B.Tech) and architecture (B.Arch/B.Plan) programmes at the top CFTIs, such as NITs, IIITs, and SFIs, as well as state engineering colleges and other participating institutions.
There will be three papers in JEE Main. Paper 1 is for the students aspiring for B.Tech courses, while Paper 2A and Paper 2B will be for B.Arch and B.Planning programmes, respectively. For the upcoming 2021 exam, NTA has introduced a new exam pattern. Meanwhile, in December, the registration and application process for the February session began. JEE Main (Paper 1) will be held in four sessions this year, namely February, March, April, and May. However, in the months of February and May 2021, B. Arch and B. Planning papers (papers 2A and 2B) will be held only twice a year. Below are some further details.
Students who have Physics and Math as compulsory topics in their class 12 board exams are eligible to take JEE Main 2021. Passengers from the 2019-20 school year are also eligible to take this exam. Candidates must, however, meet the JEE Main eligibility requirements before applying for the exam. Failure to do so will result in the application being rejected.
The exam difficulty level in JEE Main ranges from moderate to high. When we look at prior year papers and divide them down by subject, we usually find that the Chemistry portion is the easiest, while Physics is on a moderate level. The most difficult subject is mathematics. In comparison to JEE Advanced, the majority of JEE Main questions are straightforward and based on NCERT. However, there are a few tough questions that are designed to test each candidate's conceptual comprehension as well as their analytical ability. Meanwhile, the NTA has established a number of practise centres to help students prepare for the JEE Main exam.

.For the current academic session, the eligibility standards for B.Arch have been reduced. Previously, candidates had to get a cumulative score of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The aggregate is relaxed to 'simply pass' 12th Class with PCM subjects/10+3 diploma in Mathematics or the aforementioned subject combination for JEE Main session 2022-23.
The total number of tries: Candidates can take the JEE Main exam for three years in a row.
For providing admissions through JEE Main, the examination authority follows the reservation criteria established by the Indian government. Based on the categorical reservation policy, all-India ranks will be provided. The following are the percentage reservations of categories for JEE Main admissions:
