The conducting authorities have assigned JEE Main test centres to conduct the exam. The number of exam cities has been expanded from 232 to 334, and the number of exam centres has been increased from 660 to 828, all to ensure the safety of candidates. Candidates will also have the option to change their previously selected exam centre options. Candidates are eligible to sit for the JEE Main exam for three years in a row.
Criteria for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs
B.Tech
Applicants seeking admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs must have obtained a minimum of 75 percent (65 percent for SC/ST category candidates) or be in the top 20% of their respective boards.
B.Arch
In 10+2 or equivalent, you should have received a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Applicants will be able to select up to four cities in where they would like their exam centre to be located. The applicants must do so in the sequence shown below. The following are the processes to selecting a JEE Main Exam Center for 2022:
1. From the list of JEE Main 2022 Exam Centres below, select the top four cities closest to you.
2. Go to www.jeemain.nta.nic.in, which is the official website for JEE Mains 2022.
3. In your application form, list your preferred cities in order of preference, with no. 1 being your top choice.
4. The NTA usually assigns the candidate to the first city, but if the test centre is unable to accommodate the candidate, he or she will be assigned to the second city.
For JEE Main 2022, students will be required to bring specific items to the examination centre.
1. A hardcopy of the JEE Main Admit Cards 2022 is required to be presented to the venue. Candidates who do not have the paperwork will be denied entry to the exam centre.
2. The candidate must provide a passport-sized photograph to the exam centre. The candidate's photograph must match the one supplied on his or her application form.
3. A photo identity proof issued by the government, such as an Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driver License. The ID proof in your possession must be current and original.
4. If the candidate is classified as PwD, he or she must bring a certificate from a competent authority attesting to his or her disability.
