On January 2, 2022, the NID DAT 2022 Prelims exam was held. The admit card for the exam was released on December 23, 2021, and the NID 2022 result for the DAT Prelims exam will be announced in the last week of April 2022.

The National Institute of Design's Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT 2022) is a national level entrance examination for admission to several UG and PG programmes. According to test takers, the NID DAT 2022 prelims exam, which took place on January 2, 2022, was moderately difficult. The B.Des paper consisted of 26 questions (22 objective and 4 subjective), whereas the M.Des paper consisted of 62 questions (59 objective & 3 subjective).
Seats are reserved for different groups based on NID DAT 2022 Reservation criteria. In the B. Des and M. Des programmes, there is also a provision for a 15% reserve of supernumerary seats.

If seats in the OBC-NCL category remain empty due to a lack of eligible candidates meeting the minimum qualifying requirements or due to candidate non-availability, the seats will be de-reserved and allocated to candidates from the open category.
Vacant seats in the GEN–EWS, SC, and ST categories would not be made available to candidates from other categories.
Candidates should be aware that after the application deadline, the candidate's category selection will be deemed final, and requests to modify categories will not be accepted.

The NID DAT Exam Fee can be paid either online (by credit card or debit card) or offline (through check) (via Demand Draft only).
Note: Any bank/transaction fees are not included in the application cost paid online (by Debit/ Credit Card). The fee is neither refundable nor transferable after it has been paid.
The admit card is the most significant document that a candidate should have with them when they take the exam. The candidate will not be allowed to take the exam if he or she does not have the admission card. The admit card for the NID DAT Prelims and Mains can be downloaded from the official website.
To obtain the admission card, candidates must give information such as their registered email address, date of birth, and roll number/application form number. To avoid any discrepancies, candidates who have enrolled for the exam must bring their NID DAT 2022 Admit Card to the exam centre.

The NID DAT Prelims 2022 exam will be held in 21 locations across India. A candidate cannot modify the exam centre that has been assigned to them. He or she will be able to choose the exam centres when filling out the application form.
Candidates will be given the option of selecting their preferred exam locations. As a result, they should select them wisely based on their preferences.
The NID DAT Mains Exam will be held in NID campuses around the country, including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, and others. The admit card will contain specific information regarding the actual location of the designated centres.
DAT Preliminary and DAT Mains are the two stages of the exam. For each step, candidates will be assigned exam centres. They can look at the NID DAT 2022 Exam Centers list.
A separate merit list will be created for each category based on the results obtained in the NID DAT 2022 Prelims. Candidates will not be given individual scorecards for the results, which will be announced on the official website. Also, without NID's permission, the results of the DAT exam cannot be used by anybody or any organisation.
The cut off is the score that a candidate must achieve in order to pass a particular level of the exam. The NID DAT 2020 threshold is listed below. After the results are revealed in June 2022, the cut off will be made public.

Only candidates whose final percentile score above the minimum qualifying criterion will be considered for admission from the various categories.
