The CAT (Creative Aptitude Test), GAT (General Ability Test), and GD/PI are all part of the NIFT 2022 Exam Pattern. Those for B.Des and M.Des must take both the CAT and the GAT, whilst candidates for B.FTech and M.FTech must only take the GAT. Candidates for B.Des and M.Des will also be subjected to a Situation Test. NIFT 2022 will take place on February 6, 2022.
Due to the rising covid case, NIFT 2022 will now be administered online as a proctored examination, according to the most recent official statement from NIFT. On January 23, 2022, the official website will post complete instructions for the same.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released the following rules for conducting the remote online test on February 6, 2022.
The examination is divided into two phases.
Phase 1: Paper Based Test (PBT) - All undergraduate and graduate programmes are required to take this test (CAT and GAT exam).
B.Des and M.Des programmes: Phase 2: Paper Based Test (PBT) (CAT and GAT exam).
Phase 2: Computer-based testing (CBT) for B.F.Tech, MFM, and M.F.Tech programmes (GAT exam).

Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs are all part of the NIFT curriculum. Both the GAT and CAT tests have different syllabuses, which are listed here.
Quantitative Ability: Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work & Task, Ratio & Proportion, and Distance Synonyms, antonyms, words with matching meanings, single, plural, one-word substitutions, idioms & phrases, accurate spellings are all examples of communication ability and English comprehension.
