There are a wide range of scholarships open to students at the University. Scholarships are offered to the best and brightest applicants from undergraduate and graduate programs. Students with good academic track record, having the confidence of maintaining the consistency of their performance may apply for the Vignan Scholarship Programme.
Procedure for awarding the scholarships
Merit scholarships will be awarded by considering performance of students across all the branches when the syllabus is common.
When the syllabus is different from branch to branch merit scholarships will be awarded branch wise.
Distribution of merit scholarships is as follows:
First 1/5th of the top 5% students will be awarded - 50% of category - A fee
Next 2/5th of the top 5% students will be awarded - 30% of category - A fee
Remaining 2/5th of the top 5% students will be awarded - 20% of category - A fee
The Training and Placement department operates on the principle of providing a wide spectrum of learning opportunities to nurture and empower students at various stages of their academic journey.

Sports Facilities-
The campus has playgrounds for cricket, football, tennis, basketball, badminton and volleyball. In addition, gymnasium, athletics track and walking track are available. All the sports activities at Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University) are organized under the supervision of well experienced coaches and physical directors.
Hostel facility-
A well furnished A/c hostel facility is available for the foreign boys and girls within the campus. Hostels are equipped with indoor games facilities and gymnasium. No student should stay away from his/her room during the night without prior written permission of the Warden. The VFSTR hostel Health Centre offers medical facilities round the clock to the students residing in the hostels.
