WBJEE 2022 Eligibility

WBJEE Eligibility 2022 varies according on the course chosen by the students. However, 45 percent in Class 12th or equivalent qualification examinations is required to be qualified for WBJEE 2022. If you do not meet the required eligibility, your candidature may be cancelled at any stage of the WBJEE 2022 admission process.

General Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2022

All WBJEE 2022 exam candidates must ensure that they meet the general WBJEE eligibility requirements listed below.

Candidates must be Indian citizens in order to apply for the exam. In West Bengal, the WBJEE Residential/Domicile requirement is an eligibility criterion for admission to several degree level Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture schools.

Criteria for Domicile Eligibility

As of December 31, 2022, you must have been a permanent resident of West Bengal for ten years.

Candidates will also be deemed eligible if one or both of their parents are permanent residents of the state with a fixed address.

Engineering and Technology Courses WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates must have passed the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in the General Stream in the regular class format or an equivalent examination from a recognised Council/ Board to be eligible.

Compulsory subjects: To apply for WBJEE 2022, the candidate must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Minimum marks: 60 percent in all subjects combined (45 percent for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates), 60 percent in Mathematics (45 percent for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates), and pass in English with a minimum of 30 percent (for all categories of candidates) in the qualifying examination are required to be considered eligible.

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2022-Jute & Fibre Technology

To meet the WBJEE eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised Council/ Board in the normal class method.

Individual passing marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as compulsory topics must be obtained in order to be eligible.

Minimum score: 45 percent in all of the aforementioned topics combined (40 percent for SC/ST/PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B applicants). Passing marks in English in the specified qualifying examination with a minimum of 30% (for all categories of candidates) will be regarded eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2022 – Marine Engineering

Candidates must pass the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised Council/Board, according to the WBJEE eligibility requirements and standards established by the Director-General of Shipping, Government of India.

Minimum score: To be qualified for the WBJEE exam in normal class format, students must receive 60 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as individual passing marks in each of these courses.

The minimum requirement is a score of 50% in English as a subject in either class '10' or '10+2'.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2022- Architecture

For a candidate to be eligible, they must pass Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects individually.

Minimum qualifying requirements include 60 percent in the aforesaid disciplines combined (45 percent for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates), 60 percent in Mathematics (45 percent for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates), and passing marks in English with a minimum of 30 percent marks (for all categories of candidates).

The candidate must pass either the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) or Paper 2 of the JEE Mains, both of which are administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2022- Pharmacy Course

To be eligible, candidates must pass the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in the General Stream in the regular class mode or an equivalent examination from a recognised Council/ Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

To satisfy the eligibility criteria, candidates must obtain a minimum of 60 percent in the above subjects combined (45 percent for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates), 60 percent in Mathematics (45 percent for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates), and a pass in English with a minimum of 30 percent (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying examination.

Other Institutes 2022 WBJEE Eligibility Criteria

To meet the eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination state board or other qualifying examination recognised by the government of India with physics, chemistry, and biology as required subjects. The following are some of the details for each institute.
